Journal entry 1

My goal is to implement one level based on one page design using a 2D Game Kit in Unity.

To start off, the basic layout looks pretty straightforward, although I can't tell for sure just by my first look.

I'll start simply, firstly, I create a basic overlay of the game (draw static objects (basically ground and individual platforms) and test it to see, if everything fits nicely and if a player can't jump out of the map or get soft locked somehow.

So, my first step is to just draw the playable area, adding enemies, goals, and logic will follow (probably in the same order as named here).

I spent roughly 30 minutes studying the one-page design itself, then I began to draw the overlay of the map. That took me roughly an hour before I had to stop because  I needed to be elsewhere.
I will continue tomorrow, I should be finished with the first part of my plan by the evening.
